Sep 26, 2026"The location is truly hidden and tucked away. You enter through a small green door that’s almost invisible between the row of shop houses. I’ve been here twice, and each time it feels like stepping back in time thanks to the nostalgic interior. If you’re looking to enjoy classic, old-style Chinese comfort food, this is definitely the place to visit. The dishes are simple, warm, and satisfying. The prices are still relatively cheap and very affordable, making it an easy favorite for a cozy meal."

Sep 18, 2026"The food here was great, freshly prepared, fresh veggies, very tasty and short waiting time from ordering to having your food delivered to your table. The service was good, the wait staff was friendly, helpful, prompt & detailed. The interior and atmosphere was nice which gives you the feeling that you’re dining at an old colonial Chinese eatery house complete with the tiny wooden tables & chairs. And I like their open kitchen concept which enables to customers to see the freshly prepared meals. Unfortunately their restaurant is located on the upper / 2nd floor and the stairway is a bit narrow and steep, which could be problematic for the elderly. And the seats are somewhat limited so some waiting time are to be expected if you’re coming during peak hours. But overall it was a pleasant and satisfactory dining experience"

Aug 17, 2026"Hidden Gem Alert: Claypot Popo If you’re a fan of comfort food with a nostalgic touch, Claypot Popo is definitely worth the hunt. And I mean that quite literally—this spot is a true hidden gem. From the street, it’s almost invisible, disguised behind a simple green door that gives no hint of the cozy experience inside. But once you step through and head upstairs, you’ll find a surprisingly spacious dining area that feels like a trip back to a 90s Chinese eatery—warm, slightly retro, and full of character. I tried their signature dish, Claypot Siram Telur Mentah Ayam, and it did not disappoint. The portion was just right—not overwhelming, but still satisfying. The claypot came piping hot, with a raw egg cracked on top, slowly cooking as it soaked into the savory rice and tender chicken. Pro tip: add a spoonful of their chili oil—it elevates the whole dish with a perfect kick and extra depth of flavor. For sides, I went with the bakso goreng (fried meatballs), which were also tasty—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. But let’s be clear: the claypot is the star of the show here. Whether you’re here for the food, the nostalgic vibe, or both, Claypot Popo is a spot you’ll want to revisit."
